Abdulla Fouad for Medical Supplies & Services Company (AFMS) and QIAGEN joined forces in organizing a highly successful Infectious Diseases Day in Crown Plaza Riyadh. The event was attended by esteemed diagnostic Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) from both government and private sectors.
The day commenced with an impressive introduction by Mr. Asem Manasra, AFMS General Manager, followed by an enlightening overview of QIAGEN's journey in improving molecular solutions over the years, presented by Ms. Simona Grandits, the Head EEMEA GEM Region - QIAGEN.
The sessions featured presentations by renowned professionals in the field, including Dr. Sahar Isa Althawadi from King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Dr. Ebtihal Al Amoudi from Suliman Al Habib Group. The event also featured a detailed session on QIAstat-Dx and NeuMoDx (the New Fully Automated and Integrated RT-PCR System), presented by Mr. Eneko Goya, the Regional Director of Infectious Diseases. Martí Juanola-Falgarona, PhD, from QIAGEN Barcelona Medical Affairs, emphasized the significance of syndromic testing through the unique features of QIAstat-Dx, including Ct. Value, Connectivity, Epidemiology Reporting, Microfluids Cartridge, and Real-Time PCR technology.
In a remarkable highlight, AFMS was selected to participate in The Pilgrimage (Hajj) Season using QIAstat-Dx solution for all panels. The company expresses its gratitude to the Ministry of Health for this opportunity to contribute to pilgrims' testing.
